Amy T. Sollins handles all areas of family law litigation, including, divorce, paternity, modifications, equity actions, contempts, and guardianships of minors. She handles cases at both the trial and appellate levels.

In addition to her divorce practice, Amy has a particular interest in working with grandparents who are seeking guardianship of their grandchildren. She recently authored The Practitioner’s Perspective: Guardianship of Minors Practice in the Probate and Family Court, Massachusetts Bar Association Section Review, Vol. I, No. 1 (2009).

Prior to joining Legasey & Niarchos, Amy served as a law clerk to the justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. She also served as judicial intern to U.S. Magistrate David Martin of the United States District Court of Rhode Island.

Amy has been appointed to the Massachusetts Bar Association Family Law Section Council for 2008-2009. The Family Law Section Council is charged with analyzing and proposing legislation, developing educational and professional development programs, producing articles and formulating and recommending policy and legislative positions to the House of Delegates. She also serves as Section Edition on the Massachusetts Bar Association Section Review.
